Ticket Sales Manager

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Ticket Sales Manager will be the primary manager for the Ticket Sales department which includes full-time sales and inside sales staff. This position takes on all managerial duties throughout the Springfield Cardinals season as well as special events. This position oversees sales efforts involving, but not limited to, season tickets, group tickets, and mini-plans, and reports directly to the General Manager. The Ticket Sales Manager is also responsible for managing customer subscription and campaigns, which attract audiences and donors throughout the baseball season. The Ticket Sales Manager will also be responsible for the strategic implementation of outbound/inbound sales, call monitoring, and call volume reporting.  This position is responsible for the day to day efficiency and effectiveness of sales activities. Manager must be very well organized and have a flexible schedule with availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Successfully managing sales staff by achieving growth and hit sales targets.

• Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training Sales Staff.

• Responsible for planning, assigning and directing sales strategy and programs as a means of retention and producing new business opportunities for full-time/inside sales staff.

• Responsible for monitoring and tracking staff schedules, sales numbers and metrics.

• Additional responsibilities as assigned to assist in the success of the Ticket Sales department and the organization

   

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sports Management or Marketing; or a combination of experience and education

• 2+ years of experience in sports industry at college level and/or minor/major league level.

• 1-2+ years of experience in sales and/or management

• 2+ years of experience working with ticketing software

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management or related field; or a combination of experience and education

• 4+ years of experience in sports industry at college level and/or minor/major league level.

• 2+years of experience in sales and/or management

• 1-2 years of experience working in a ticket sales management role

• 3-4+ years of experience working with ticketing software
