On-Field Emcee

Summary of Responsibilities

The Springfield Cardinals are seeking candidates for their On-Field Emcee (MC) position. The MC will serve as the primary facilitator of in-game activities and entertainment during Springfield Cardinals home games. Primary responsibilities will include facilitating contests and promotions, serving as a host to contestants as well as fans and helping to record promotional video content. Other responsibilities will include assisting in the development of new ideas for in-game promotions and contests and any other duties as assigned by the Manager of Production and Promotions. This job exists to help provide a fun, family-friendly environment at Hammons Field. *** Note: This is a unique position that will require all candidates selected for an interview to also complete an on-site audition. Additional information regarding the audition and interview structure will be give to selected candidates prior to their scheduled interview date. 

Essential Functions of the Job

• Create a fun, fan-friendly experience at Hammons Field                                
• Help develop ideas for & host/facilitate in-game promotions and contests                                
• Interview and interact with fans during home games
• Plan, prepare and deliver content for team in an entertaining and professional manner that is consistent with the current team format                                
• Announce information and promote upcoming events at Hammons Field                                          
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Required

• 1-3+ years of prior MC/hosting experience

 Education and Experience Preferred

• 3-5+ years of prior MC/hosting experience
• 6 months+ Prior radio/TV experience
