Graphic Designer

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Graphic Designer is primarily responsible for the conception, creation, and execution of digital and print assets for the Springfield Cardinals. The Graphic Designer must have knowledge of the latest trends in digital and print design, and has experience working with corporate branding. This designer serves as a team resource for consistent application of the brand and identity platform, and shares strategic marketing growth goals with the Marketing team. This position reports directly to the Manager of Production & Promotions and will be responsible for all in-house graphic design. The Designer will also assist in game-day and special events production support. The main responsibilities of this position will include creating content for all digital platforms (web, social media, mobile app, video board and digital signage) as well as all print materials. This position will also assist in managing the in-stadium digital content schedules and rotation.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Digital Content Creation (i.e. Video Board, Website, Social Media, Mobile App)
• Print Design
• Promotional items & giveaways
• Game-day & Special event prep/support
• General design support

Education and Experience Required:

• Associate's Degree in Graphic Design, Art, or a related field; or a combination of experience and education
• 2+ years of graphic design experience in both print and digital mediums
• 1-2+ years of experience working in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Art, or a related field; or a combination of experience and education
• 3-4+ years of graphic design experience in both print and digital mediums; preferably in a corporate setting
• 3+ years of experience in working in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• 1-2+ years of graphic design experience in the sports industry; preferably Minor/Major League Baseball
