Summary of Responsibilities:
The Springfield Cardinals are seeking candidates for the Broadcast Announcer position. As a Broadcast Announcer, this individual will provide play by play commentary and analysis for TV broadcast. This position is also responsible for promoting ongoing Cardinals events and promotions
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Play by play commentary for TV Broadcast
- Game prep/research for home and visiting teams
- Promote ongoing Cardinals events and promotions
Education and Experience Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Good verbal communication skills
- Professional appearance and conduct
- Prior sports broadcasting experience
- Ability to work weekday afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
Education and Experience Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism; or a combination of education and experience
- 5-10 years of baseball broadcast experience
