Box Office Associate

Summary of Responsibilities:

Box Office Associates are responsible for assisting customers in purchasing tickets for Springfield Cardinals home games either in person at ticket windows or over the phone. The position will also assist the Sales Department by referring leads for group or season ticket sales when possible.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Provide fun, quality interactions with fans attending games
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist in person customers requesting information and seeking to purchase Springfield Cardinals game tickets using computerized ticketing system
• Assist sales department by referring opportunities for group and season ticket sales

Education and Experience Required:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma/GED required, some college preferred in area of sales or sports & entertainment
• Customer Service experience with face to face interaction preferred
• Cash Handling experience preferred
• Comfort level with operation of computers, telephones and general office machinery
• Previous box office experience and/or training on Tickets.com software preferred
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage time efficiently and effectively
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Job Details:

• Business casual dress is required for daily non-game ticket office hours. Game Day attire will consist of khaki pants (supplied by the employee) and uniform shirts supplied by the Springfield Cardinals. No jeans, shorts, t-shirts etc.
• Interested applicants should plan to be available for most, if not all, home games and have a reasonable amount of availability during regular ticket office hours. Regular ticket office hours are Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm beginning in March and continuing until approximately mid-September.
