Summary of Responsibilities:
The Springfield Cardinals are seeking candidates for the Bat Boy/Clubhouse Assistant position. This position will act as game day help in clubhouses and on field during games. The Batboy will also assist with pregame prep of dugouts, preparing game baseballs, on field help during games, post-game field cleanup and clubhouse duties.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Prepare field for game activities (fill coolers, take towels to dugout, prepare snacks)
- Ensure baseballs are rubbed up prior to home games
- Clear the playing area during the game
- Make sure field umpires have water as necessary during games
Education and Experience Required:
- At least 16 years of age
- Ability to balance work and school
- Good verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work as a team player
- Professional appearance and conduct
