Summary of Responsibilities:

The Ticket Operations Supervisor has a primary responsibility to assist the Director of Ticket Operations with daily ticket office duties, including the hiring, training and supervision of part time ticket office staff for the Springfield Cardinals. This position will also assist in coordination of ticket operation functions, including ticketing configuration, reconciliation reports and inventory management for primary events. This position provides ProVenue ticket software support and any needed training or assistance for the organization as requested by management. Candidates will be expected to be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

This position is located in Springfield, MO with the AA Springfield Cardinals. All work will take place on site as it relates to scheduled events.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Support, train, and assist in the hiring and scheduling of part-time ticket sellers for daily box office operations
  • Operate as the supervisor on duty as part of event rotation with other staff, be a decision maker for the ticket office during stadium events, and support ticket office employees when situations arise
  • Continual learning of features and updates using current ticketing software (ProVenue - Tickets.com), Microsoft Office Suite and other technology
  • Oversee company Customer Service Program to identify short and long-term areas of improvement; design targeted, relevant training based on program feedback; contact customers with poor customer service experiences in order to correct the situation
  • Create system to monitor and respond to customer service feedback, including but not limited to customer surveys and secret shopper programs
  • Manage internal ticket needs of staff, scouts and sponsors based on departmental needs
  • Assist in event preparation to better assist sales staff with repricing, printing and other areas of Tickets.com ProVenue ticketing software
  • Assist in daily revenue deposits by balancing and reconciling payments from ticket sales of all departments

Education and Experience Required:

  • 1+ years working for a professional/collegiate sports team, entertainment venue, or other related industry
  • Previous experience with cash controls and financial record keeping
  • Some experience with event ticketing software
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); good written and verbal communication skills, experience supervising part time or full time employees

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
  • 2+ years of experience as full-time or part-time staff for a collegiate/professional sports or entertainment venue or other related industry
  • 2+ years of supervisory level experience with Tickets.com's ProVenue ticketing software
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Prior experience implementing a customer service program
